Jackson 15 months old

We are very behind on Jackson updates, so are including links to the last 8 months (March still to come). In the past 8 months, he has traveled, been baptized, taken his first steps, stood on his head, made animal sounds, taken swimming lessons, met his great-grandma, gone trick-or-treating, sat on Santa's lap (not a good first experience!), celebrated his first birthday, had his hair cut, and given hundreds of kisses.

He is now 15 months old and walking (and running) everywhere. He is becoming more verbal and will confidently call out for 'mama' and 'dada'. He loves to exclaim 'ball' whenever he sees one and is always practicing new words and sounds. He even makes up a few signals for words (like running his fingers over his lips for elephant). He is a very sweet boy and liberally blows kisses and likes to wave to all sorts of things (people, pets, snails, flowers...). Jeff has been speaking primarily Spanish to Jackson and we are shocked at his comprehension of both Spanish and English words for objects.

He loves being outdoors and is always asking to get outside. He also loves reading by himself or in someone's lap. He has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh, whether being tickled by his mom, playing games with his nanny, Crystal, or just cracking himself up.

We are just shocked at how every day seems better than the last, we didn't think this was possible. We feel truly blessed to have this miracle in our lives.

- The previous post is a slide show of pictures of the last several months.

- Below is the link to his first steps on Christmas Day.

- And a link from him walking around in his mom's boots this week. (He enjoys picking out which shoes we should wear and trying to move around in them himself).
