Jackson 15 months old

We are very behind on Jackson updates, so are including links to the last 8 months (March still to come). In the past 8 months, he has traveled, been baptized, taken his first steps, stood on his head, made animal sounds, taken swimming lessons, met his great-grandma, gone trick-or-treating, sat on Santa's lap (not a good first experience!), celebrated his first birthday, had his hair cut, and given hundreds of kisses.

He is now 15 months old and walking (and running) everywhere. He is becoming more verbal and will confidently call out for 'mama' and 'dada'. He loves to exclaim 'ball' whenever he sees one and is always practicing new words and sounds. He even makes up a few signals for words (like running his fingers over his lips for elephant). He is a very sweet boy and liberally blows kisses and likes to wave to all sorts of things (people, pets, snails, flowers...). Jeff has been speaking primarily Spanish to Jackson and we are shocked at his comprehension of both Spanish and English words for objects.

He loves being outdoors and is always asking to get outside. He also loves reading by himself or in someone's lap. He has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh, whether being tickled by his mom, playing games with his nanny, Crystal, or just cracking himself up.

We are just shocked at how every day seems better than the last, we didn't think this was possible. We feel truly blessed to have this miracle in our lives.

- The previous post is a slide show of pictures of the last several months.

- And a link from him walking around in his mom's boots this week. (He enjoys picking out which shoes we should wear and trying to move around in them himself).

Month 6 - July 2009:

Well we haven't posted in a while, but Jackson has been enjoying the past few months. He is almost 7 months old and loves standing with the aid of anything he can find. He moved from rocking on all fours to crawling. At first his crawling consisted of lots of faceplants but now he is zipping around the room and has forced baby-proofing upon us. His first baby tooth has broken through the gums and his tongue is exploring it throughout the day. He LOVES eating his fruits and vegetables in particular apples/blueberries and sweet potatoes. He "talks" a lot and lets out grunts of happiness which results in our laughter, which results in his laughter, then more laughter from us. His primary word is mama, which makes his mom's heart melt everytime she hears it.

This month he took his first steps in the Pacific Ocean and loved the feel of the sand under his feet and the waves splashing up his legs. We have a beach baby on our hands!

He constantly keeps us laughing and melts our hearts with toothless smile. We couldn't be more proud.

Jackson's Third Month - March Photos

Jackson hit the 3 month milestone and has a new bedtime routine and is sleeping in his own crib and room. He is also more alert and very talkative (see other video post) at times. He loves his activity mat and talks with and grasps his animal friends. He also responds to smiles with the most lovely, sweet smile. This month he had visits from new friends and both sets of grandparents, he even celebrated a few birthday parties.

We are very proud parents and loving every day with Jackson.

Jackson's Second Month - February Photos

We are a bit late posting photos. February came and went quickly. He celebrated both his parent's birthdays this month and had his first outing to the zoo.

Jackson grew more responsive to his parents and family. After two months he weighed in at 11 lbs, 15 ozs and 23 3/4 inches.

Below is a link to various pictures of his second month.
